Tang Da Wu  唐大雾 was born on May 12  Singapore.

 

 

 

He studied at the Birmingham Polytechnic .

1974

He graduated with a Bachelor ( Fine-Arts )
   

1974- 1975

He studied sculpture at Saint Martins Art School.

   

 

He continued his studies at Goldsmiths'College, University of London.

1985

He graduated with a Master's degree(  Fine-Arts)

1988

He graduated with a PhD.

   

1988

He founded The Artits Village, the first community of artists, students,

 

and others, working together in Singapore, to promote experimental

 

and alternatif Art.

   
 

Through many means of expression : Drawings - Paintings -

 

Sculptures - installations - Performances, he  explores social

 

and environmental themes.

   

1994 / 1995

He received a grant from the Singapore International Foundation  

 

to participate in the International Art Symposium in Meiho  Japan;

 

and tne next year, a trophy and a subvention from the Japanese

 

Chamber of Commerce and lndusty.

   

2007

He participated at the Venice Biennial - Singapore Pavilion, with

  his installation : Untitled.
   
 

He lives and works in Singapore.
