Cheng Tsung-Lung  郑宗龙 was born in a family who owned a slippers  

 

factory in Taipei  Taiwan.

 

As a child, he roamed the streets of old Taipei, selling slippers.

 

He took his first dance class at the age of 8.

   
  He continued his studies at Taipei National University of the Arts
  ( Dance Department )
   

2002-2004

Graduated, he joined Cloud Gate Dance, one of the best troop and performed

  internationally.

2006-2010

He was choreographer resident at Cloud Gate Dance Theatre .

 

 

2014

He became artistic Director of Cloud Gate 2

2020

He succeeded Lin  Hwai-Min as artistic Director of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan.

Winner of the International Choreography Contest Premio Roma Danza in Italy

Winner of the 16th choreographic competition MASDANZA in Spain

He was elected Artist of the year by the Performing Arts Reviews of Taiwan.

He won the Taishin Arts Award
