With a Master's degree in Architecture from Tsinghua University China

and from the University of California at Berkeley, Zhu Pei opened his architectural

studio in Beijing.

He was commissioned by the Guggenheim Foundation to design the Art Pavilion

on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi and the Guggenheim Museum in Beijing.
