He began studying Art at Henan University.

Graduated, he entered the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.

He went to study in Russia at the Academy of Fine Arts of St. Petersburg,

|
where he prepared a third cycle.

Upon his return, he taught at the Normal College in Beijing.
